Every indexable diagram must pass terminal, routing, source, and topology checks plus a separate usefulness, specificity, and evidence gate. Other pages remain editable but stay outside proactive search discovery.

What the gate checks
- Terminal integrity — Every wire endpoint must resolve to a current symbol pin; retired or invented pin IDs are blocked.
- Routing geometry — Routes are snapped and checked for ambiguous crossings, component collisions, accidental pass-through, and disconnected-looking endpoints.
- Electrical source path — The gate detects missing sources, floating components, disconnected islands, direct source-terminal shorts, and positive-to-ground faults.
- Content usefulness — Generic intros, boilerplate steps and FAQs, missing practical detail, and unsupported exact-device claims cannot enter proactive discovery.
- Conservative publication — A held page keeps its editable URL with noindex,follow, but it is removed from XML sitemaps and llms-full.txt until both gates pass.

Methodology and limits
Counts are calculated live from published system diagrams. DiagramQualityService validates symbols, terminals, placement, routes, source paths, and topology. DiagramContentQuality separately scores topic-specific introductions, explanations, steps, FAQs, component lists, practical sections, and code-reviewed evidence; exact manufacturer, model, pinout, and connector intents require matching primary evidence. Neither gate proves code compliance, device suitability, semantic correctness, or installation safety; those require current documentation and competent engineering review.
2,148 canonical pages currently pass both gates and enter the public diagram library and extended LLM reference.
